Casa Di Oliva is our family home in Italy, in the commune of Castel Frentano in the region of Abruzzo. As a family we fell in love with Castel Frentano because of the food, weather, scenery and of course the friendly people.
We have spent 17 years renovating the house from a working farmhouse to our home today. Having completed the installation of the swimming pool and terrace we have decided to make it available for others to enjoy. Its hillside location appeals to all especially the walkers and cyclist. Two years ago the Giro d’Italia cycle race came through the village.
The house offers a perfect tranquil getaway. Over looking the Maiella mountains with a 360 degree panoramic view and the fresh mountain air from one side and the Adriatic coast air from the other.
The farmhouse is over 100 years old and has arable land that is still farmed for wheat. There is also 100 olive trees that we harvest and produce our own organic virgin olive oil our liquid gold, there is always a bottle of our oil for guests to enjoy.The rest of the land about ½ acre is formal gardens with lawn and fruit trees. Guests are welcome to pick and enjoy the fruit on their stay.
